The Gaze of Love

Children of the purest water we engage in an infinite quest for jewels tenderness soothes our turbulent mind caught in the power of desire aspiring to total union in love seizing the Other in our beatific gaze Dreams of eternal silence commingle with tears casting us down into this realm of body and its fatal allures we love what is not ourselves we smooth its reflections with soothing hands then mirror every embrace as our own The day lazily descends into glowering clouds dark and gray it carries us into reveries of evening we rest on the bed of heaven fashioned out of water and stone fixed like mortar within our gaze of love
